Keeper RB Tiered Rankings - Peterson, then the rest

This list is long overdue and updated after all the dust has settled from the preseason and Week 1. I know your keeper season is in full swing, but you might find a use for my rankings throughout the season as you look to make trades to ensure that your team can make a playoff run this season and be stacked with talent for future seasons. These rankings reflect all significant factors from depth chart, free agency, and injury history.

Week 1 showed us who the RB thrown truly belonged to: Purple Jesus. There were some question marks surrounding the top 5 for this year, but when Adrian Peterson got done throwing defenders to the ground so he could show off his sprinter speed, nobody was talking about MJD, Turner, Forte, or Johnson as contenders anymore. "All Day" is all alone at the top of the fantasy football world; any league, any format.

Keeper QB Tiered Rankings - Class of '09

Depending on your leagues format, there are only two QBs that I believe to be worth a keeper selection. After that, you would probably be better off keeping RBs and WRs. As you can see, you can wait on a QB in your draft and still find value late. Drew Brees and Tom Brady are ranked above the rest because A) they are in high octane passing offenses B) they are surrounded with proven weapons (Colston, Moore, Bush, Shockey / Moss, Welker, Galloway, Faulk) C) they have had extremely successful fantasy seasons in recent years & D) they both have at least 3 or 4 more years of production left in the tank. I left Manning out of this tier because he has new ?s around him this season, no Harrison, an aging Addai, and most importantly no Tony Dungy. QBs that I see as on the rise are Aaron Rogers and Matt Ryan. I also think Joe Flacco will be joining Matt Ryan in Tier 2 next year. Matt Stafford has an outside chance being Tier 3 this time next season and climbing every year after that.
